Heuer Carrera manual wind chronograph ref: 73653 - 1974
A superb example of Heuer production from the height of their fame. This is the Carrera model with subtle blue/grey dial and contrasting white subdials and Tachy ring. The distinctive red sweep chronograph hand really gives this watch a bit of 1970’s poke!
This ref: 73653 Carrera was made circa 1974 and is powered by the extremely rugged 7736 manual wind movement. The Carrera got its name (in 1963) from the legendary cross-isthmus road race in Mexico, known as La Carrera Panamericana.
The 17-jewel manual wind chronograph movement is the Valjoux 7736 calibre. The triple register chronograph movement beats 18,000 BPH and has a power reserve of 45 hours. The dial displays running seconds, a 30-minute chronograph recorder, and a 12-hour chronograph recorder, as well as the distinctive red chronograph, sweep hand.

Box and Papers:
Unfortunately, this watch is sold without the box or paperwork.
This is a pre-owned vintage watch and displays wear and tear associated with daily use.
Both of the chronograph pushers were damaged and had to be replaced. Due to the difficulty in finding a replacement set the watch has been fitted with the easier to obtain smooth style. The case has not been modified in any way so should a set of correct pushers be found they can be fitted easily. The watch is in excellent unpolished condition.
