A true classic, manual winding chronograph ‘Speedmaster MK II’ wristwatch by Omega.  Dated to 1970.

Description:

A classic watch from the famous ‘Speedmaster’ family.

The dial is a wonderful unrestored example with a lovely warm ‘yellow’ lume.  The numerals and hands are white as per NASA specs.  The watch has the later 1970’s cushion shaped stainless steel case with signed screw down case back and signed crown.

The 17 jewel manual winding chronograph movement is the very famous Omega 861 calibre based on the Lemania 1873 and is finished in Rose gold plating.  The movement beats 21,600 BPH and has a power reserve of 40 hours.

Condition:

The watch is fully serviced and keeping good time.  The dial is original and shows a nice patination effect from age.  The lume on the dial and in the hands has deteriorated and has gone a wonderful ‘Custard’ yellow.  There are some very fine marks on the dial.  The crystal is original Omega and is new.  The Omega crown and pushers are correct and in good condition.  The case is in good condition.  The case has been re-polished/grained over the years and displays various age-related knocks and scratches.
